Michelle Meares, Solicitor from Watts McCray Lawyers’ Central Coast office, and the Young Lawyers Representative for the Central Coast, attended the NSW Young Lawyers Mid Year Assembly held at the Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley last weekend.
The Assembly featured a special Keynote Address from the 2018 NSW Young Lawyers Patron, the Honourable Justice Fabian Gleeson. His Honour discussed the need for young lawyers to step up and get involved in the shaping of the profession and also to give back and provide advice and support to members of the community.
Delegates to the Assembly included members from all 15 Young Lawyer Committees, Regional Law Societies and professional associations including the NSW Bar Association.
The theme for the Assembly was “Growing Together” which was a call to action, a discussion of career development and how participants could improve as professionals.
Watts McCray Lawyers continue to support young lawyers through the NSW Law Society’s Young Lawyers Mentoring Program.
