Our People

Sue was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in 2014 and is a member of the Law Society of NSW.

Sue practices primarily in family law, with experience in matters dealing with parenting, property, child support, spouse maintenance, adult child maintenance and divorce, both within the Court system, including attending Conciliation Conferences and appearing in Applications in a Proceeding, Interim and Final hearings; as well as mediation and party to party negotiations.

Sue frequently appears in both the Family and Federal Circuit Courts of Australia. She also appears in the Local and District Courts in defense of Apprehended Violence Orders, as well as in applications for Apprehended Personal Violence Orders, and in the Local Court in minor traffic law infringements.

As a solicitor, Sue is passionate about finding the right solution for each client, whether through negotiation, mediation or litigation. She is empathetic and tenacious, with the belief that successfully representing clients requires a holistic approach. Sue is adept at client management and possesses the ability to calm clients facing difficult circumstances.

Prior to admission Sue worked as a temporary Clerk of Chambers as well as a contracting research assistant to barristers in the Sydney area, for almost 13 years. She continues to enjoy association with most of her former (barrister) clients.

Outside of work, Sue is the mother of three adult children. She enjoys being outdoors, hiking, camping and riding motorbikes. She also likes going to local live music venues.
In the community, Sue is a member of the local networking group, Local Business Network – Hornsby and Upper North Shore chapter. She is the former secretary to the Princess Charlotte Alopecia Foundation and does other local volunteer work.
