Jessica Sharpe

Jessica is deeply passionate about family law and helping clients navigate the family law system to achieve the best possible outcomes. She has worked exclusively in the area of family law since 2017, having commenced her career in the field prior to admission as a lawyer. Jessica was admitted in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in 2020 and has experience across all areas of family law, developing a particular interest in complex parenting matters, family violence and advocacy.

Jessica holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of International Studies from Western Sydney University. During her time at University, Jessica gained a broad knowledge of the law, studying law and international studies at Hong Kong University, Chinese Law at Shanghai University, and Forensic Psychology at Maastricht University, Netherlands

Jessica is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales, a member of the Law Society NSW Young Lawyers Family Law Committee and volunteers at the Marrickville Legal Centre | MLC.

Jessica has gained vital experience working in both private practice and public services such as Legal Aid and Women’s Legal Service. This has given her an ability to gain vital knowledge and experience in understanding the needs of clients from all backgrounds in both simple and complex parenting and property matters.

Jessica is willing to go above and beyond for her clients and thrives in advocating for clients in both dispute resolution and court events, skilfully guiding them through the complexity of the family law system and ensuring their property/parenting interests, and the best interests of their children, are the paramount priority.
