“Leave No Woman Behind”- Watts McCray Lawyers Celebrate International Women’s Day in Western Sydney.

Our Nicole Stevens and Bernadette Melhem attended the Western Sydney International Women’s Day Breakfast on 7 March 2018.

The speakers including Carolyn Blanden, Principal of Fairfield & Blacktown Warakirri College and Yvonne Keane, Winner of the 2016 NSW Local Government Woman of the Year and former Mayor of the Hills Shire Council explored this year’s theme for International Women’s Day of “Leave No Woman Behind” and their experiences in promoting women’s empowerment and gender equality and the ways in which everyone can assist.

The attendees also heard from representatives of local schools.

“International Women’s Day is not country, group or organisation specific. The day belongs to all groups collectively everywhere.”1
