14th LAWASIA International Moot

Justin Dowd, Director of Watts McCray Lawyers was re-elected as Vice President of LAWASIA (The Law Association of Asia and the Pacific) at their 32nd LAWASIA conference 2019 in Hong Kong. Alongside the conference was the 14th LAWASIA International Moot; a competition that brings mooting into the curriculum of law schools throughout the world.

This years moot competition was also held in Hong Kong and alumni from 60 different law schools from 30 distinct jurisdictions came together to face challenging problems in regards to International Dispute Resolution, Commercial Law and Contract Law.

Justin told many stories throughout the competition and shared invaluable advice with the alumni. He was thanked for his contributions to the overall experience and received this message from one of  LAWASIA’s organisers:

Thank You Justin

14th LAWASIA International Moot

“It was our great pleasure and honour to welcome you at the 14th Lawasia International Moot Competition held in Hong Kong over the last weekend. The competition was a resounding success. Your contribution had enriched the mooting experience and your comments were invaluable as it was instructive to the young minds.

There were much sharing, exchanges and excitement about the competition and we hope that you have had as much fun as us in associating with the students and with other moot judges bringing it back with you the memory of fun and experiences.

May we express our thanks and gratitude to you for your commitment, enthusiasm in nurturing the young minds and your dedication in building bridges of friendships. The competition could not have happened without the support from you. We look forward to inviting you again to next year’s moot competition!”
