Grant Malfitano was admitted to the Supreme Court in 2009, and has since practised exclusively in family law. He has developed a successful practice founded on the principles of quality, effective legal work and a distinct client focus. An experienced advocate, he has appeared in the Family Court, Federal Circuit Court, Supreme Court, District Court, and many registries of the Local Court.

Grant is adept at all facets of family law including complicated property, parenting, child support, and spouse maintenance matters, including high-value property disputes and relocation. He is skilled in drafting the complex documentation involved in a family law dispute, and, if a matter must proceed to a court hearing, he is experienced in briefing and liaising with Counsel.

Grant brings a calm and confident demeanour to what is undoubtedly a difficult and emotional period in a client’s life, using his family law experience to provide competent and detailed advice while compassionately guiding clients through the court process.

Grant studied a double Law and Arts degree at the University of Wollongong, obtaining a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2009. More recently, Grant attained a masters degree at the University of Sydney. He is eligible to complete family law specialist accreditation and intends to do so in 2018.
