Samira holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Technology, Sydney, and is currently completing a Masters of Applied Law specialising in Family Law.
Having been admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in December 2016, Samira has been practising in Family Law since July 2017, gaining experience acting for high net worth and high profile business clients in complex financial matters, matters involving international properties, and businesses and companies.
Having previously worked at other specialist Family Law firms in North Sydney and Sydney CBD, Samira also has experience in a wide range of Family Law parenting matters including cases of serious sexual child abuse allegations, intractable relocation matters, and obtaining urgent airport Watchlist orders.
Samira appraises each case with upmost objectivity, ensuring her clients’ concerns, priorities and goals have been addressed and scrupulously dealt with throughout their case. Samira empathically works towards assisting her clients to achieve a commercially-sound outcome in a most timely manner.
In addition to settling matters outside Court by way of negotiation, mediation and alternative dispute resolution, Samira has extensive courtroom skills and has appeared before the Federal Court of Australia and the Family Court of Australia on numerous occasions.
She is known to be a compassionate and detail-oriented lawyer who advocates passionately to advance her clients’ rights and interests. She is thoughtful, dedicated and driven, and adopts a tactful approach to her work, prizing successful outcomes for her client above all.
Prior to practising exclusively in the area of Family Law, Samira practised in the areas of property transactions, and criminal law where she appeared before different local Courts around Sydney defending clients in a range of criminal matters, including AVO’s.
Samira speaks Farsi fluently, is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales, and volunteers at the Redfern Legal Centre.
