Matthew Weston developed his interest in Family Law during his time at University. Prior to joining Watts McCray, Matthew clerked for several Family Law Barristers in Newcastle where he gained valuable experience assisting in complex parenting and property matters in the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court of Australia.
Matthew fully understands the stressful nature of family law issues and makes a conscious effort to provide you with practical, cost effective options. Matthew’s calm and measured approach is an asset to clients when faced with challenging stressful circumstances which are common in family law matters and prides himself on his ability to assist his clients in resolving their issues in a thoughtful and efficient manner.
In 2017 Matthew graduated from the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing.
Matthew was admitted to the High Court of New Zealand in 2017. Shortly after, he moved to Australia and was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2018.
